Commercially responsible for the developments in the MEAF and technically for thermoplastics analysis within the World Petrochemicals and Chemical Economics Handbook Programs, Borruso joined SRI Consulting Petrochemical practice in 2001.
He brings 37 years of postgraduate experience in the petrochemical industry, mainly in Olefins and Polymers and contributes to SRI Consulting petrochemical multi client and single client activity.
Formerly associated with a petrochemical consulting firm, since April 1993 he has been responsible for their thermoplastics practice for all the single and multi-client surveys, worldwide.
Mr. Borruso is invited regularly to present views and outlook to industry forum worldwide while he attends most of the public annual events and conferences in the GCC.
Before joining the consulting practice in 1993, Mr. Borruso was part of the petrochemical industry since its graduation.
Previously in Calgary, Canada for 12 years, Mr. Borruso was with the Alberta Energy Co. currently Encana, responsible for business development, new ventures and acquisitions.
Mr. Borruso is graduate in Chem. Eng. From the University of Palermo Italy and has conducted research activity as part of the post graduation program with Mobil Oil in Essex R&D center. In addition he has taken short courses at the University of Stanford, California and Toronto, Ontario, Canada on marketing strategy.
Mr. Borruso is licensed Profession Engineer, currently registered as Professional Engineer, in Alberta Canada.
He is member of several associations such as SCI (1985), EPCA (2001), NPRA (1984).
Mr. Borruso was with Polimeri Europa in Italy, until 1981 responsible for LDPE production.
