3rd LPG Trade Summit 2008
Dubai, November 10-11

Vital Buyer-Seller Meet
Into its 3rd year, CMT’s LPGtrade Summit is the PREMIER Middle East gathering for the global LPG industry. Taking place on 10 – 11 November 2008, this event is expected to draw LPG players from key corners of the globe. Held at one of Dubai’s most prestigious resorts – the InterContinental Dubai Festival City.
Recent rise of gas production from Qatar, Abu Dhabi and expanded refining capacities in Asia and Middle East have boosted LPG supplies and exports increased multifold. The expanded supply is cushioned by the moderate demand growth, contributed by Asia’s energy hungry market and petrochemical sector.
The unpredictable and tight Naphtha market which sends the crack spread value to the negative digits, provides LPG its competitive advantage as the alternative feedstock for petchem producers in Asia, USA and even Europe. With such volatile market situation, how long will the new export sector sustain its demand for LPG? Also how will the rise of the MidEast petchem production impact on the export capacity?
Due to its cheaper price and cleaner exhaust emissions than petrol, LPG has become an attractive alternative energy for transportation. Growth in the Autogas conversion has created a surge in LPG demand, as evident in Pakistan, Australia and Europe.
CMT’s 3rd LPGtrade Summit offers top industry panel, leading international LPG decision makers and market players unique opportunities with a particular focus on the Middle East where key decisions steering the global LPG pricing, trading, transport and supply are being made.
Mark your calendar to be at this premier gathering to network and forge lasting business opportunities.

2nd LPG Trade Summit 2007
Dubai, November 19-20

The Action is Happening Now in the Middle East
Middle East is expected to contribute about 40% increment to the global LPG supply, with output expected to rise by 19mn t/yr to reach 54 mn t/yr by 2012. The bulk of new supply will be a by-product of non-associated gas output, arising from Qatar, Iran and Abu Dhabi. Gas and condensate projects in Qatar and Iran are due to add 5.2 mn t/yr, while additional output from Abu Dhabi is expected to be 7.8mn t/yr.
Whilst the producers toggle with decisions about export markets, prices and eventually ROI, this rise of LPG supply is promised to shake up the global LPG industry, pricing and benchmark, trading and terms of business.
This changing market dynamics give rise to new export opportunities such as petrochemicals and the competing LNG markets, as well as the US Mont Belvieu. Does this spell a bullish season? These new developments set the stage for our discussion at 2nd LPGtrade Summit at the Park Hyatt Dubai.
2nd LPGtrade Summit promises direct interaction opportunities with the LPG producers, traders, buyers, NOCs and petrochemical feedstock purchasers. Join in the discussions on key issues and challenges affecting the LPG industry to 2010 and beyond.
Leading industry panel will share on the following:
- Outlook of Middle East LPG production & expansion on export plan
- Changing market dynamics and impact on LPG prices and trade
- Risk management option in the volatile market
- Freight market outlook and response
- A re-look at specification and testing benchmark (e.g. mercury level)
- Mont Belviue market and storage capacity
- Petrochemical market focus: feedstock situation: Naphtha versa LPG – on cracker economics
Presenting a latest view of the industry, 2nd LPGtrade Summit features key organisations and senior decision makers, providing attendees with exceptional networking and business opportunities.
A must attend event. Mark your calendar to be at this premier gathering of key industry players.

Global LPG Outlook
LPG supplies are projected to increase markedly from the current 50 million tons to 75 million tons by 2010. Primarily as a result of the tremendous growth in LNG production. The Middle East and North Africa regions have further strengthened their position as the production source for LPG. Abu Dhabi has laid out their plans to double its LPG exports to16 million tonnes per year by mid-2008 against current exports of eight million tonnes to become one of the top three exporters in the next five years.
This significant increase in LPG supply will put additional pressure on shipping capacity. In recent years, LPG shipping rates have surged strongly as LPG supplies expanded. The market has tightened since the second half 2004 when VLGCs became scarce on the spot market.
Asia’s LPG demand is expanding dramatically by more than 6%/year. This is followed by North America and India. The Middle East is also experienced strong demand growth, driven by the addition of several LPG-based petrochemical projects. The amount of LPG consumed in each region will also be subjected to the price and availability of LPG, relative to the alternatives. Whilst Asia continues to drive the consumption and demand for LPG, the dynamic autogas market has further expanded the demand for LPG.
CMT’s LPGtrade Summit 2006 conference brings together leading panel of LPG producers, importers and experts. Continuing to examine the key issues that are crucial to the future development of the region, this conference, focuses pertinent issues as:
- World LPG outlook
- Emergence of sour gas, condensate & natural gas
- Production analysis from the Middle East region – Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, etc
- Imports and demand drivers: reviews from India, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Africa & Australia
- Creating advantage from shipping and logistics
Presenting a complete and up to date overview of the global LPG industry, the event will feature key organisations and senior decision makers, providing attendees with exceptional networking and business opportunities.
You’ll network with
